Day 1 Results
Lewisburg, Pa. -- The young UMBC Swimming & Diving team continued to show growth on Day 1 at the Bucknell Invitational
On the Men's side, Freshman
Stefano Perez took third in a loaded 50 free in a time of 20.14, while classmate
Braden Weise took sixth in a time of 20.30.
On the Women's side,
Ashley Gutshall made her return to the pool by taking second in the 50 free in a time of 22.88, while sophomore
Erma Duratovic was fifth (23.24).
Alice Marini finished fourth in the 200 IM with a time of 2:02.27, while freshmen
Tyler Kay (1:48.67) and
Quinn Marchionini (1:50.32) went 1-2 in the 'B' final of the event for the Men.Â
The Men's 200 free relay team of Perez, Weise,
Sean Neils and
Axel Mori team took fourh in a time of 1:20.36.
Ember Stennett finished ninth in the Women's 3 meter dive prelims (240.20), while freshman
Aidan O'Callaghan also took ninth in the Men's 1 meter (257.10).
The action continues on Saturday at 10 a.m.
