How it Happened:
- After Jayden Shertel worked out of a jam in the top of the first, Matthew Best walked to leadoff the bottom half and Taylor followed with a two-run homer to put the Dawgs up 2-0

- Ryan lined a sacrifice fly to center and Swenda followed with a two-run double to make it 5-0 after two
- The Great Danes got on the board with a two-out, two-run homer in the third, but the Retrievers responded in the bottom of the inning
- Wyatt hit a leadoff double and would score on an Ong one out double to make it 6-2
- The lead became 7-2 moments later when Baracani scored on a Best RBI groundout
- In the fourth, Swenda hit a one out double, moved to third on a Trythall ground out, and then scored on a wild pitch
- Wyatt walked and would move to third when the inning was extended by an error, and he would eventually score on a Baracani single to extend the lead to 9-2
- Remy would enter in the top of the fifth and keep UAlbany in check for the next four innings as it remained 9-2 until the eighth
- In the eighth, Swenda reached on an error and scored on a Taylor double.
- Wyatt then brought home Taylor with an RBI double of his own
- Derek Paris plated UMBC's 12th run when his RBI single scored pinch runner Luke Buscaglia
- Kyle Eddington would pinch hit and drive in Paris with an RBI ground out
