Anders Logas Set to Compete at NCAA Zone Diving Championships

The freshman is UMBC's first qualifier since 2015.

UMBC freshman diver Anders Logas (Carrollton, Texas) will compete in the NCAA Division I Zone Diving Championships at The Aquatic Center at Mylan Park on the campus on West Virginia University.

Logas will compete in the 3-meter competition, which gets underway at noon on Tuesday, March 7. He performed brilliantly in the prelims of that competition at the America East Championships, recording a qualifying score of 323.80.

Logas earned gold in the 1-meter competition in Worcester with a finals score of 283.20, a 26.8-point improve from his fifth-place qualifying mark.

He is the first Retriever diver to compete at this meet since 2015, when Ryan Green, Pak Lam Wong and Coco Darelius took part in the meet in Buffalo, N.Y.
