The UMBC women's and men's swimming and diving programs return home on Saturday, Nov. 18 when they welcome Manhattan and St. Peter's to the UMBC Aquatic Complex for the first time. The meet gets underway at 2:00 p.m. and live results will be available on the Meet Mobile app.
The programs will honor several UMBC professors in a 1:40 p.m. pre-meet ceremony.
Last weekend, UMBC saw action at VMI and encountered strong competition versus the host Keydets, NJIT and UNC Asheville. Freshman diver
Andy Vines continued his early impressive results, winning both boards. He set a pool record with a mark of 284.25 on the 1-meter board and also captured the 3-meter board with a 238.90 score.
Senior captain
Charles Bennici produced a strong meet, earning a pair of fourth place efforts in the 500 and 1000 freestyle events. Freshman
Nick Bracall edged
Bennici in the 1000, placing third and got under the 10-minute plateau (9:59.93).
The Retrievers will return to action on Dec. 1-3, when they compete in the Bucknell Invitational.
