The UMBC men's soccer team (6-2-3, 2-0-1 America East) caps UMBC's Homecoming 2023 festivities by welcoming No. 24 New Hampshire (6-1-4, 0-0-3 AE) to Retriever Soccer Park on Saturday, Oct. 14. The game gets underway at 7:00 p.m. and Paul Mittermeier will handle the broadcast for ESPN+.

BREAKING NEWS
- The America East Conference tabbed UMBC senior forward Alek Wroblewski Offensive Player of the Week for games ending Oct. 7. Wroblewski tallied three goals and added an assist in UMBC's 1-0-1 week.
- He scored a pair of goals for the first time in his career and added an assist as UMBC rallied from a 3-0 halftime deficit to earn a 4-4 draw versus Navy on Oct. 3. Then, he notched the game-tying goal in the 79' as the Retrievers once again came from behind, defeating UMass Lowell, 2-1, on Oct. 7.Wroblewski matched his goal total (5) from last season and has 10 with UMBC and 16 in his collegiate career.
- UMBC is tied for first-place in the America East Conference with NJIT, as both teams sport 2-0-1 records. The Retrievers (6-2-3 overall) are 2-0-2 in their last four matches. Â Â
- The America East is currently ranked fifth in RPI among all conferences and is one of four conferences with four teams ranked in the top 60.
- UMBC was ranked No. 4 in the United Soccer Coaches Northeast Regional poll as of Oct. 9. Along with the Retrievers, UNH (1), Vermont (2), Bryant (3) and NJIT (9) comprise five of the top nine teams in the poll. Cornell, a team which UMBC edged, 2-1, on Sept. 16, is ranked No. 8 in the region.
- Senior forward Taylor Calheira leads the team with nine goals and two assists through 11 games. Calheira's game-winning goal versus UML was the 31st of his career and elevates him into a tie for eighth place on UMBC's all-time goal scoring list. He needs one more point to move into the top ten on that list (31-14-76).
- He is four goals clear of five other players for the top spot in America East. Calheira is tied for sixth in the country in goal scoring and tied for ninth in goals per contest (0.82) as of the last statistical report on October 11. Â
- UMBC is 35th in the nation in scoring offense with 1.91 goals scored per game.
- Sophomore Emigdio Tormo Lopez (1.48 GAA) has started the last six games for UMBC and recorded his second shutout versus Bryant.

- New Hampshire is ranked No. 24 in the Oct. 9 United Soccer Coaches' poll.
- The Wildcats (6-1-4, 0-0-3 AE) are unbeaten (4-0-3) in their last seven matches, and just had a four-game shutout string snapped in Saturday's 1-1 draw versus Bryant. Liam Bennett scored for the hosts in the 84', but Bryant knotted the score less than two minutes later.
- Graduate student forward Eli Goldman leads UNH with five goals on the season, while grad student midfielder Bilal Kamal has three goals and a team-best four assists. Grad student goalkeeper Joseba Incera has started 8 of 11 games and posted three consecutive shutouts versus Binghamton, Harvard and UAlbany.
- UNH is the defending America East champion and has been to six consecutive NCAA Tournaments.Â
THE ALL-TIME SERIES
- UNH leads the all-time series, 9-6-6, and have posted six consecutive shutout victories over the Retrievers.
- UMBC's last victory occurred in 2017, a 1-0 triumph at Retriever Soccer Park. The Retrievers are 4-3-4 versus the Wildcats in Baltimore.
- Last season, after a scoreless first half, UNH scored twice in a span of 64 seconds (62', 63') to defeat UMBC, 2-0.
