Annapolis - The UMBC women's cross country squad competed at the Navy Cross Country Invitational this evening.
The Retrievers finished fifth of nine teams in the 6k race, edging Towson, 176-178, for fifth place. Â

Lily Strelecki rose to the top of the Retriever lineup, finishing 28th overall in a time of 23:16.1. Senior
Emmy Beyer placed second amongst the UMBC contingent, placing 37th, posting a mark of 23:38.9.
Senior
Margo Henley (52nd, 24:25.0), freshman
Lyna Beraich (58th, 24:35.2), and sophomore
Judy McLaughlin (74th, 25:46.6) rounded out UMBC's top five.
UMBC returns to action at the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh on Friday, Sept. 30.
