- NJIT quickly respond with a 3 runs in the bottom of the second to make it 3-1 in their favor.
- NJIT then scores 4 runs in both the third and fourth innings.
- On the first pitch of the sixth inning, Ian Diaz hits a solo home run.
- In the eighth inning, Jayden Shertel hits into a double play allowing Justin Taylor to score.
