Biography

2021: Made seven appearances out of the bullpen during his first season in Baltimore… Went 1-3 in 8.2 innings of work, giving up 13 hits, seven earned runs with three strikeouts… Made his Retriever debut against Maine on March 27 where he went 1.0 innings giving up two hits, and one run… Had a three-strikeout outing in 3.0 innings against Binghamton on April 24, his longest outing of the season.

Background: Comes to UMBC from Heartland Community College… Was named All-Chicago Catholic League in 2017… Named Pitcher of the Year at Brother Rice in 2014, 2015, and 2017 by the coaches on the team… Had his best performance during his senior season when he hurled six innings of two-hit ball with no walks and only giving up one run against St. Laurence to win the conference championship… Helped Brother Rice win the conference title two years in a row… Son of Elizabeth and Gerry Gorman… Has three siblings; Liam, Conor, and Joey… His mom Elizabeth played softball at St. Mary’s of Winona, where his brother Liam played basketball while his other brother Joey plays baseball at Lewis University… Favorite pro team is the Chicago Bears and favorite food is chicken… Has had to overcome Tommy John surgery and pins placed in his hand.
