BALTIMORE– UMBC women's lacrosse will begin America East play on the road at UMass Lowell on Saturday afternoon. The Retrievers are 6-4 on the year after seeing their three-game win streak snapped in a 17-6 loss at No. 20 Johns Hopkins on Tuesday.

Scouting the Retrievers:
- UMBC comes into the weekend tilt at 6-4 on the year after a tough 17–6 loss at No. 20 Johns Hopkins on Tuesday night. The Retrievers will be playing their first conference game against the River Hawks after being ranked number two in the preseason poll.
- Claire Bockstie (Forest Hill, Md./Maryvale Prep) leads the Retrievers with 41 goals and 13 assists for 54 points. Dymin Gerow (Baltimore, Md./Episcopal) and Kolby Weedon (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville) are also over 20 goals with 34 and 28 respectively.
- Megan Halczuk (Fawn Grove, Pa.) leads the team with 60 draw controls, adding 14 goals and six assists for 20 points.
- Lexi Roberts (Baldwin, Md./Fallston) has seen the majority of time in net going 4-4 with 76 saves (.503 save percentage) and allowing 75 goals (11.75 GAA).
Scouting the River Hawks:
- UMass Lowell comes into the contest at 2-8, 0-2 AE on the year after suffering three-straight loses, most recently to New Hampshire 12-7. The River Hawks are just 1-2 at Cushing Field while they are 1-6 on the road.
- Izzy Liquori leads the River Hawks with 20 goals and three assists for 23 points, along with a team-best 43 draw controls. Molly Shaw also has 20 goals with Megan Brockbank adding 10 assists.
- Three different River Hawks have seen time in net with Alex Salim seeing the most action in net, giving up 75 goals (14.12 GAA) while making 53 saves (.414 saves percentage).
All-Time Series:
- This will be the seventh all-time meeting between the two with the Retrievers leading the series 6-0.
- This will be just the third matchup in Lowell with UMBC winning the last one in 2018, 9-7.
Milestone Watch:
- Bockstie is closing in on 100 career goals, needing just six to achieve the mark.
- Dymin Gerow and Olivia Docal (Glenwood, Md./Our Lady of Good Counsel) are approaching 100 career points with Gerow needing 26 and Docal needing 30.
Among the Best:
- The Retrievers are right up there among the nation's best in several statistical categories. The Retrievers are fourth in saves percentage and are 17th in ground balls per game.
- UMBC is 19th in the nation in scoring offense.
- Bockstie is third in shots on goal per game and first in shots per game. Bockstie is also sixth in the country in goals per game. Gerow is also ranked fourth in free position goals per game.
