Biography

2022 (GRAD):

  • Played in all 17 games during her final season as a Retriever, making 15 starts.
  • Scored nine goals with one assist for 10 total points.
  • Had her best game of the season against Robert Morris where she picked up a goal and an assist in a 25-15 win.

2021 (SENIOR):

  • Team Captain.
  • Started in 11 games of the year.
  • Fourth on the team with 26 points (24g, 2a).
  • Recorded a point in 10 of the 11 games she played in.
  • Had eight multi-point games during the season.
  • Scored a career-high five goals against Binghamton (4/24).
  • Ranked 14th in the nation and fourth in the America East in free position percentage, going 11-16 from the eight-meter (.688).
  • Finished the year 20th in the NCAA and third in the conference in free position goals per game (1.00).

2020 (JUNIOR): 

  • Started in all six games of the season.
  • Fourth on the team with 11 points (10g, 1a).
  • Scored a season-high three goals against Bucknell, going 3-4 from the eight-meter mark.
  • Had multi-point performances against VCU, Temple, and Drexel.
  • Scored a point in every game this season.
  • Led the Retrievers with 25 shots, 17 on goal.

2019 (SOPHOMORE):

  • Played in ten games, starting in nine.

  • Tied for fifth on the team in points with 24 off 18 goals and six assists.

  • Ranked sixth in the America East in shots per game (5.20).

  • Led the team against Bucknell with four goals and one assist.

  • Also had a five-point performance against Vermont (3g, 2a).

  • Against Hartford, scored three goals to go along with one assist.

  • Had a three-point performance (2g, 1a) in UMBC’s 10-9 OT victory over Binghamton.

  • Recorded two points against Johns Hopkins (2g) and UC Davis (1g, 1a).

  • Also had five ground balls and four draw controls on the season.

2018 (FRESHMAN): 

  • Made her collegiate debut in UMBC’s victory over Hartford.
  • Scored her first two collegiate goals in the win.
  • Also scooped up one ground ball.

BACKGROUND:

  • Participated in the Metro Lacrosse League in 2017.
  • Played club lacrosse for Rebels.
  • Went to Elite 120 in 2015 and played on the championship team.

PERSONAL:

  • Daughter of Orlando and Debbie Docal.
  • Has two sisters, Maria and Theresa, and one brother, Ory.
  • Sister Maria ran track at Catholic University.
  • Graduated with a degree in Information Systems. Working on a master's in Data Science.
