The UMBC men's soccer squad (7-7-2, 2-4-1 America East) wraps up the regular season on Thursday, Oct. 28 when the Retrievers visit NJIT (4-10-1, 2-4-0 AE). The game will kick-off just after 7:00 p.m. and airs on the America East digital network.
Both teams are battling a spot in the six-team America East Conference playoffs. The Retrievers currently hold the No. 6 position, but lead NJIT, Binghamton and Hartford by just a single standings point. Moreover, all eight other league teams conclude their campaigns on Monday, Nov. 1. Â

The Retrievers waged a tremendous battle versus fifth-ranked New Hampshire last Saturday, but came up on the short end of a 1-0 score. UMBC's was shutout for the first time this season after registering at least a goal in the first 15 contests. It was not for a lack of effort, as the Retrievers attempted nine shots and created several quality opportunities.
