Philadelphia – The UMBC women's tennis team won the doubles point, but the host Temple Owls (4-2) captured four singles matches and edged the Retrievers, 4-3, at the Upper Dublin Sports Center.
UMBC freshmen Hanna Victorsson (Stockholm, Sweden) and Charlotte Tonjann (Bussum, The Netherlands) won the first match of the evening, prevailing , 6-3, at No. 2 doubles.
