Lynchburg, Va. – UMBC freshman Maria Siopacha (Limassol, Cyprus) advanced to the third round at the Women's ITA Atlantic Regionals, but dropped a decision to 13th-seeded Caroline Daxhelet of Virginia Tech to end her run.

Siopacha posted an impressive 7-5, 6-0 victory over Georgetown's Victorie Saperstein in the second round.
