Box Score
BALTIMORE - UMBC juniors Abby Wilson  (Bel Air, Md./Fallston) and Alyssa Semones  (Westminster, Md./Westminster/Penn State), in addition to senior Kristen Bilney (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron), each tallied a hat trick, while freshman Jennie Milligan (Crofton, Md./South River) added five assists as the Women's Lacrosse team used a 4-0 second half run to defeat Temple 11-9 in front of 319 fans at UMBC Stadium.

Semones and Bilney also added an assist each in the victory. UMBC (4-4) also received two goals from redshirt junior Ali Carpenter (Baltimore, Md./McDonough/Loyola).

The Retrievers got on the board just 59 seconds into the game when Wilson would score unassisted, however Temple (3-6), would respond just minutes later. The two teams would trade the lead back-and-forth until the Retrievers went on a 4-0 run over the final 4:50 of the first half to take a 7-4 lead into the break. The run was punctuated by goals from Bilney and Carpenter in a span of 13-seconds in the final 18 seconds of the half.

The Owls would rally in the second half, scoring three straight over a 2:31 span to tie the game at seven with 22:23 remaining. UMBC would break the tie quickly when Wilson scored unassisted just 1:58 after Temple had evened the score.

Milligan then assisted on the next three UMBC goals as the Retrievers pushed the lead to 11-7 with 4:41 left. Temple answered 51 seconds later and added another with just over two minutes remaining to cut the deficit back to two, 11-9, but UMBC would win the ensuing draw and run out the clock to preserve the victory.
The Retrievers were out-shot, 20-16, by the Owls, however, UMBC was very accurate, putting 15 of the 16 shots on net.
Redshirt sophomore goalie Anna Barnett made five saves and picked up a team-high three ground balls to earn the win. Junior defender Lexi Bristow had a game-high four caused turnovers in the winning effort.
