Biography

2015: Named to the America East Championship All-Tournament Team… One of only two players to start and play in all 17 games… Recorded career-bests in ground balls (34) and caused turnovers (15)… Caused at least two turnovers in four games… Picked up four ground balls versus American… Snagged four ground balls and caused two turnovers against UMass Lowell… Named the team’s Unsung Hero at the Grittys... Named to the America East Honor Roll.

2014: Earned the Retriever Club Scholarship Award at UMBC’s annual varsity banquet… One of three players to start in all 16 games… Grabbed a career-high 19 ground balls, third on the team, and caused a career-high 11 turnovers, second on the squad… Caused a career-best four turnovers and added a ground ball and draw control against Temple… Picked up a career-high three ground balls against Stony Brook and Johns Hopkins... Named to the America East Honor Roll.

2013: Appeared in 13 games and made two starts… Earned her first collegiate start in the season-opener against American and followed with her second start versus California… Picked up a ground ball in back-to-back games at Colgate and at Maryland… Tracked down her first-career draw control versus Loyola… Tallied two ground balls and caused one turnover against Johns Hopkins… Named the team’s Most Improved Athlete at the annual varsity awards banquet.

2012: Appeared in three contests in her first collegiate season… Grabbed first career ground ball and caused her first turnover versus America… Named to the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

BACKGROUND: Earned Academic All-America honors as a senior… An Annapolis Capital All-County Second Team selection as a junior… Helped lead the Bruins to the district and regional championship games in 2009… Received the 2011 Gerry Case Courage Award, which is given to one female and one male athlete in the senior class who overcame injury and continued to succeed in sports… Also excelled in field hockey, earning All-County First Team honors as a senior… An honor roll student… Daughter of Tonja and David Bristow… Has a younger brother, Connor, and a younger sister, Kendall… Born May 12, 1993… Major is psychology.
