2023 Outdoor
- In first outdoor competition, placed eighth (12.81m) during the shot put in the Weems Baskin Invitational.
- In the Towson Invitational, tossed the discus the fifth-farthest distance of the day, 39.58m.
- Had two top-ten finishes, a 12.78m shot put (sixth) plus a 38.10m discus (tenth) at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational.
BACKGROUND:
- The Prince George’s County Most Valuable Athlete for field events in 2022
- Maryland state 4A champion in the shot put as a senior
- Earned a seventh-place finish in the Adidas National Girls’ discus competitionÂ
- Started competing in track & field at age 11
- Also lettered in swimming Â
- Majoring in Psychology w/ ambitions to be a Health Psychologist
- Lists favorite musical artist as Summer Walker
- The youngest of three siblings to Mankaa and Emmanuel Abongwa
