BOSTON -- Marie Abongwa and Enazajah Young continued the stellar starts to their indoor seasons as they took home America East Weekly Awards, the Conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Abongwa was named the Field Performer of the Week after she took silver and set the school record in the weight throw (18.35) at the Nittany Lion Challenge on Saturday.

Young won America East Rookie of the Week for the third time in three chances as she set the UMBC 60m hurdles record for the third straight competition as she took gold in a time of 8.35. The time is 40th in NCAA (based on TFRRS) and top time in conference by .45 seconds.

UMBC is at Columbia's Dr. Sander Scorcher this weekend in New York City.
