UMBC is back in action tonight after a 5-1 victory over Presbyterian on Friday evening at RSP. The Retrievers trailed 1-0 before a three-goal outburst in the final stretch of the first half swung the momentum back in their direction. UMBC added two more goals in the final 45 minutes to earn the 5-1 win. George Washington opened the season with a defeat at the hands of Old Dominion before picking up a pair of road wins over Binghamton and Navy. UMBC is 8-0-2 in the last 10 meetings with George Washington, dating back to 2004.

UMBC enters Thursday's contest with a 3-1-2 record after a 0-0 draw at the University of Delaware. The Retrievers picked up their first loss of the season on Thursday, taking a 2-0 defeat at the hands of St. John's. Towson comes into the contest with a 1-1-2 record, picking up a 2-0 win at Mount St. Mary's, and a pair of ties versus George Washington and Delaware.

Fresh off a five set win at Big 12 foe West Virginia (25-23, 25-13, 19-25, 18-25, 15-13) the Volleyball team looks to continue its winning ways as it faces Buffalo. After seven kills in a three-set sweep yesterday, Jalynn Brown followed it up with a 17-kill effort, hitting .282 for UMBC. Hannah Dobbs tallied her first double-double of the season, totaling 12 kills and 11 digs in the match. Isabel Ostvig stuffed the stat sheet, handing out 39 assists, adding four kills, contributing to eight of UMBC's 16 blocks, and totaling eight digs. Alissa Grant finished the match with seven kills and contributions to 10 blocks, making one solo stuff and logging nine block assists.

Weekend play wraps up at Canisius, who lost their final match of the YSU Invitational, presented by Mercy Health, Saturday in Youngstown, Ohio. Canisius was swept by Youngstown State 3-0 (13-25, 18-25, 20-25) in the final game of the tournament. Despite the loss Canisius junior Emma Isroff earned All-Tournament team honors. Isroff led the team in Kills during the three-match tournament. She also led the Golden Griffins among starters in Attack Percentage with a .358 mark.

Men's Soccer hits the road for the first time as the Dawgs travel to Lehigh. The Mountain Hawks opened the season with a 4-1 home loss to La Salle, followed by a tough 2-0 defeat at Old Dominion. Lehigh travels to Fairfield for a Tuesday night contest. The Mountain Hawks lone goal scored of the season came on an own goal in the opener

Women's Soccer completes its brief two game homestand by hosting Wagner. The Seahawks dropped a 2-0 decision to Lafayette on Sunday afternoon at Gummeson Grounds. After a scoreless opening half, Lafayette broke through in the 71st minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Leopards then added an insurance goal in the 79th minute to seal the 2-0 victory. Wagner generated three shots on the afternoon, including its lone shot on goal from sophomore Riley Frederick in the first half. Juniors Anayah Rivera and Kelly Gallagher each added a shot for the Green & White.
