Women's Soccer Unveils 2026 Schedule; Retrievers Open Season with Five Home Contests in August

Retrievers to play seven of nine non-conference games at Retriever Soccer Park

 2026 UMBC Women's Soccer Schedule

BALTIMORE — The UMBC women's soccer team has unveiled an exciting 2026 schedule, packed with challenging non-conference battles and a high-stakes America East Conference campaign. Head Coach Rick Stainton's squad, which will play a record 11 home games, is fired up to build on last season's momentum. The team's six overall wins and two America East victories marked their most impressive run since 2016, setting the stage for an even more exciting season ahead.

The Retrievers open the season with a strong home stretch, playing five consecutive matches at Retriever Soccer Park. UMBC launches the 2026 campaign on Thursday, August 13, against Mount St. Mary's and follows with home contests against American, Fairmont State, West Chester, and St. John's to complete August.

The team hits the road for the first time on Sunday, August 30, traveling to Delaware before returning home to welcome Towson and Wagner in early September. UMBC finishes its non-conference schedule with back-to-back away matches at Robert Morris and Longwood.

Conference play begins on Sunday, September 20, as the Retrievers travel to Vermont to launch their America East campaign. UMBC hosts conference opponents New Hampshire, Albany, and Binghamton, as well as defending champion Maine, and travels to face NJIT, UMass Lowell, and Bryant.

The regular season ends in late October before the America East Quarterfinals on Thursday, November 5.

Season and individual tickets are now on sale!
