COLLEGE PARK, Md. - UMBC women's outdoor track & field completed their final event before the America East Championships at the Kehoe Twilight Meet on Friday evening.
The Retrievers racked up a number of strong performances, starting with the women's 4x100 relay.
Enazajah Young,
Lily Bandy,
Charliana Dacosta, and
Anna Creel placed fourth with a time of 46.14, marking the eighth-fastest 4x100 time for UMBC since 2010.
Also on the track, Young picked up another win in the 100 hurdles, clocking a time of 13.59, with the second-place finisher finishing in 14.35 seconds.
Leanne McDonald and
Dalyce Schmidt set season bests in the 400 with times of 55.69 and 56.07, respectively.
Madisyn Bobb and Creel took 10th and 11th in the 200 with times of 24.93 and 25.11. Bobb's time was a season best.
In the field, Gabrielle Millwood moved up to sixth on UMBC's all-time list in the long jump with a 5.64-meter leap.
Jayda Solomon also moved onto the all-time list, taking the 10th spot with a 5.54-meter jump. Finally,
Morgan Sizer set a PR in the event with a 5.52-meter jump.
In the discus,
Marie Abongwa and
Belinda Darko set new PR's. Abongwa moved up to eighth on the UMBC all-time list with a 41.01-meter throw. Darko stays 10th with a new best mark of 38.14. Abongwa also placed fourth in the hammer throw with a 53.72-meter toss.
Winter Evans finished fifth in the high jump with a 1.64-meter leap, and
Janine Amefia took fourth in the triple jump with an 11.86-meter jump.
