BOSTON - The America East announced the results of the 2026 Outdoor Track & Field preseason poll on Thursday afternoon. The Retrievers were picked atop the women's poll, following their indoor season victory, while the men were chosen third in the poll.
UMBC opened up the outdoor season at the UCF Black & Gold Challenge last weekend, earning three America East weekly honors between the two programs. The Retrievers are right back in action this weekend at the Dan Stimson Memorial on Saturday hosted by William & Mary.
The UMBC men finished second in the 2025 America East Championships, taking three gold medals. The women also took home three gold medals, placing fifth at the event.
