Jalynn Brown had a career-high 25 kills and 13 digs, but the UMBC Volleyball team dropped a tough five-setter to visiting Old Dominion (29-27, 24-26, 14-25, 25-17, 15-13) on Saturday evening at The Peake.
Helen Frankovich had 14 kills on .429 hitting with six blocks,
Jada James came off the bench and tallied 10 kills, three digs and three blocks, and
Claudia Llamas added 10 kills, seven digs and three blocks.
Serin Maden had 30 assists, while
Izzy Ostvig added 24 of her own to go with two kills.
Hannah Howard had a match-best 21 digs in the loss.Â
UMBC concludes the weekend by hosting Maryland at 1 p.m. on Sunday in their annual Gold Rush game. There will be a gold UMBC t-shirt giveaway for the first 300 fans. Â
