Men's Soccer Visits Navy on Tuesday Evening

UMBC dropped its first game of the season as they fell to the Old Dominion Monarchs, 1-0, on Friday evening at Retriever Soccer Park.
Old Dominion (2-2-2) scored with 12:03 remaining in the contest as Lewis Rourke beat UMBC senior goalie Emigdio Tormo Lopez (three saves) with a low shot inside the far post. Marcelo Randolf initiated the play with a long arching service from behind the midfield line. Rourke raced past a Retriever defender and settled the ball just outside of the right side of the box. He then advanced the ball a few yards and struck the game-winner from 10 yards out.
The Dawgs are second in the league with just four goal allowed this season.
Tormo Lopez is third in the league with a .667 goals against average and owns a .840 saves percentage, which is also third in the conference.
Brady Geho is third in the league in points (7) with three goals and an assist.
Matteo Samori also ranks among the top 10 with five points (two goals, assist). Samori is also tied for the league lead with two game-winning goals.

The Midshipmen opened Patriot League competition with a 1-1 draw against Holy Cross this past Saturday in Annapolis. JP Torres scored in the 77^th minute to equalize for Navy after the Crusaders had scored just nine minutes earlier.
