Washington, D.C. -- A shorthanded UMBC Volleyball team battled, but dropped a tough five-setter at Georgetown (23-25, 21-25, 25-15, 25-21, 19-17) on Sunday afternoon.
Laura Fuehrer continued her stellar play with a career high 12 kills on .458 hitting (one error) and six blocks.
Jalynn Brown had 15 kills, 10 digs and four aces, while
Hannah Dobbs added seven kills.
Hannah Howard led the Dawgs with 14 digs, and
Serin Maden had a double-double with 24 assists and 12 digs.
Izzy Ostvig filled the stat sheet with 21 assists, seven digs, six kills and three blocks.
Ema Djordjevic tallied a career-high five kills and four blocks, while
Molly Penn added six digs.
The Retrievers host High Point on Friday at 6 p.m.
