Laura Fuehrer continued her impressive play, but a shorthanded UMBC Volleyball team dropped a tough four-setter to host George Mason (25-18, 21-25, 25-19, 25-20) on Saturday evening.
Fuehrer followed up Friday's four kills on .500 hitting with no errors performance with eight kills on .615 hitting and no errors on Saturday. She also added a pair of blocks in the defeat.
Hannah Howard had a match-high 23 digs, while
Serin Maden and
Izzy Ostvig each had 14 assists, with Ostvig also adding five kills, five blocks and eight digs.
Hannah Dobbs had seven kills and 10 digs, and both Claudia Lllamas and
Jalynn Brown each tallied six kills.
Freshman
Ema Djordjevic picked up a career-high three kills and four digs,
Jada James added a kill off the bench, and
Molly Penn finished with five digs of her own.
The Retrievers wrap the weekend with a 2 p.m. match at Georgetown on Sunday.
