Men's Lacrosse Drops Regular-Season Finale Against Holy Cross

Box Score Metuchen, N.J.  - The UMBC men's lacrosse team dropped their regular season finale, 15-7, against the Holy Cross Crusaders on Thursday afternoon at St. Joseph's High School.

Sophomore attackman Mike Dunleavy scored two goals, and graduate student attackman Allen Hockenberry distributed three assists to pace the attack. Junior faceoff specialist Houston Horton went 10-for 17 on faceoffs and came up with six ground balls. Freshman Logan Earl (seven saves) and sophomore Billy Stephens (six saves) each played a half in goal.

Dunleavy scored the contest's opening goal at 14:17, but Holy Cross (4-11) scored the following six goals to take the lead for good.

The Retrievers (7-4) who trailed 10-5 at the half, rested their starters for next week's America East Conference Tournament.

Jude Lynch and Michael Bunomo scored four goals each to lead the Crusaders.
