 RETRIEVER BITES
  • Sophomore midfielder Corey Myers scored four goals, but the UMBC men's lacrosse team dropped a 17-10 decision against the Towson Tigers at UMBC Stadium on Friday evening.
  • Senior attackman Jordan Galloway added three goals and an assist, and freshman midfielder Ayden Davis contributed a goal and two assists.  
  • UMBC (2-1) junior Alex Steers went 16-of-29 on face-offs and picked up six ground balls, while senior Trey Fleece added four ground balls off the bench.
  • Galloway and Myers lead the Retrievers with eight goals each and are tied for second in the America East in the category. Galloway now has 64 career tallies.
  • Freshman Xander Maxwell has distributed a team-high four assists and is 5th in the league.

  • Additionally, the Spiders are ranked sixth in clearing percentage (.910) and fifth in man-down defense (.857), both thanks to Vigue .
