The UMBC Swimming and Diving teams return to action this weekend at the Thomas Murphy Invitational hosted by Loyola Maryland. UMBC will go up against the host Greyhounds, Towson and Mount St. Mary's as the action begins on Friday morning and runs through Sunday evening.

Last time out, Alice Marini took gold in the 200 IM and Matthew So won the 100 fly as the Dawgs hosted Navy and William & Mary on October 11. The Men edged William & Amry 147-146, but lost to Navy. The women fell to both visitors. 

Marini's time of 2:08.15 was enough to capture the gold, while So touched the wall in 49.70 to earn his victory. So also took third in the 100 free and was on the 400 free relay team that took third. Quinn Marchionini took second in the 100 back in a time of 49.95, finished third in the 200 IM and was on the 200 medley relay team that took bronze.

Felipe Taveira Lira took third in the 200 IM in a time of 1:55.45. 

Over at the diving well, Anders Logas took third in both the Men's 1M and 3M, and the Women were led by Ember Stennett taking third place in the the 3M and Alicia Buteau's fifth place finish in the 1M.
