College Park, MD. -- The UMBC Volleyball team continued its rigorous non-conference schedule with a 3-0 defeat at Maryland (25-12, 26-24, 25-16) on Sunday afternoon.

There was not much the Retrievers could do as the Terps hit a blistering .476 for the match, making only one combined error in the first and third sets.

Hannah Howard had a match-best 11 digs, Mia Bilusic had nine kills and Aysia Miller had four aces.

Hannah Dobbs added five kills, while Abby Erickson tallied five kills and a pair of blocks.

The Retrievers return to action on Friday at The Peake when they host defending Big South champion High Point at 5 p.m.
