Lowell, Mass. -- The UMBC Men's Lacrosse team scored four time in the first 4:16 of the contest, and never looked back en route to a convincing 21-5 win at UMass Lowell on Saturday afternoon.
It was the first time UMBC (4-4, 3-1 AE) eclipsed 20 goals in a contest since a 20-11 win against Vermont in 2007. It was the most goals the Retrievers have scored since scoring 22 in a win over Radford in 1997.
Allen Hockenberry and
Josh Tang each collected hat tricks, while
Mike Doughty tallied two goals and four assists.
Jayson Tingue made nine saves to pick up the win.Â
