Lowell, Mass - Jayden Shertel pitch 6.2 scoreless innings, striking out three, but host UMass Lowell scored five runs in the bottom of the eighth to rally for a 5-3 win on Sunday over the UMBC Baseball team.

Derek Paris went 2-for-4 with two RBI, while Justin Taylor hit a solo homer. Anthony Swenda, Luke Trythall, Kyle Eddington, Matthew Best and Danny Wyatt also had hits for UMBC. Best and Wyatt scored the other two runs for the Retrievers. Eddington drew two walks, while Bets also walked.

UMBC returns home to host a three game game series with Maine beginning on Thursday at 3 p.m.
