How it Happened:

  • Walker made a layup right after to give UMBC its onky lead of the game at 4-2
  • Tiara Bellamy made a hook shot right after the timeout but Colgate responded with a 8-0 run after a couple of free throw opportunities, 16-8 Colgate.
  • A Bellamy jumper with 0:06 left in the first quarter, made it 20-12 Colgate after one.

  • Ott made a free throw and a layup to end a Colgate run but Colgate answered back with a three and made a layup to end the first half, 39-18 Colgate.
  • Colgate opened the second half with a couple free throw opportunities having a 7-2 run, to make it 46-20 Raiders
  • Alaina Williams and Ott scored back-to-back points, to cut it to 50-26 Colgate, but the hosts went on a 10-3 run after a timeout and eventually took a 60-33 lead into the fourth
  • The Retrievers would have their best offensive quarter in the fourth, outscoring Colgate 16-15, but would still fall, 75-49.
