Hill Announces Inaugural Women's Basketball Signing Class

BALTIMORE -- UMBC Women's Basketball head coach Candice Hill announced the signing of four future athletes in her inaugural signing class on Friday.

Kennedy Austin, Maisie Crowley, Sadaya Jones and Heidi Williams will join the Retrievers for the 2025-26 season.

Coach Hill says: "Kennedy is a leader, competitor and an elite defender. Her length as a guard will be disruptive in our aggressive defenses and her ability to score at all three levels will impactfully transition into our system. We cannot wait to have her here on campus to impact those around her!"

Coach Hill says: "Maisie is a dynamic post player that can play both inside and out! From England, she brings a wealth of experience both from the competitive HS level and international levels. Her size and ability to knock down the three ball, will allow us to spread the floor and be threat from every position. We are excited to see how she impacts our program!"

Coach Hill says: "Sadaya "Day Day" is someone who has been loyal and committed to us early in the process. A tough, fierce  competitor, Sadaya can play multiple positions. She is a strong guard that can get to the rim at anytime as well as knock down the three ball. Sadaya will do whatever it takes to win and we can't wait to have her here on campus."
