Candice Hill has announced that Treyvon Stewart has joined the program as the new Digital Content Producer & Social Media Manager for the upcoming 2025-2026 season.
Stewart is a photographer and videographer with over eight years of experience specializing in sports, portrait, and event storytelling. An alumnus of Aberdeen High School, he began his creative journey there, serving as the team photographer for the boys' basketball program from 2019 to 2021. Shortly after, he worked with LifeTouch as a lead photographer, refining his skills in capturing authentic portraits and managing large-scale shoots.
In 2023, Stewart transitioned into collegiate athletics as the Social Media Director for the CCBC Essex Women's Basketball Team, where he helped lead their creative direction during their historic JUCO National Championship season. Most recently, he served as the Director of Creative Media for the MD 23 Elite Girls Basketball AAU program, producing content for teams spanning 7th through 11th grade, while also working as a freelance sports photographer for The John Carroll School.
Known for his cinematic style and ability to capture both high-energy action and genuine, candid moments, Stewart combines technical expertise with a strong storytelling approach. His work not only highlights athletic excellence but also builds connection, emotion, and legacy through visual media.
"I'm truly honored to join UMBC Women's Basketball and contribute my creative vision to the program," said Stewart. "My goal is to help elevate the brand to new heights, showcasing not only the talent on the court but also the culture, passion, and pride that define this team. A special thank you to Coach Candice and Coach Maggie for believing in me from the very beginning. Go Retrievers!"
