BALTIMORE -- The UMBC Volleyball team dominated from start to finish as they swept visiting NJIT (25-18, 25-17, 25-17) on Friday night at the Peake.
Aysia Miller had 22 digs in the contest, the most by any player in an America East three-set match this season.
Mila Ilieva was dominant hitting .500 with seven kills, no errors, five blocks and added an assist.
Senior Mia Bilusic notched nine kills, 13 digs, and two aces, freshman Hannah Dobbs had a match-high 12 kills (with only 3 errors), eight digs, two aces, one assist, and one block.
Freshman Izzy Ostvig had a match-best 21 assists, two blocks, and two digs, while adding three kills. Graduate student Abby Erickson had five kills, two blocks, one dig, and one assist; alongside sophomore Helen Frankovich with three kills, three blocks, and two blocks.
The Retrievers play two matches in the penultimate weekend of the season next week. First, they travel to Binghamton for a 6 p.m. match, and then they return home for a quick turnaround with a senior day game against Bryant on Sunday at 1 p.m.
