Helen Frankovich had 12 kills on .348 hitting, but the visiting UMBC Volleyball team was downed in three sets by a hot-hitting Bingahmton (25-19, 25-22, 25-22) on Friday night.
The hosts hit .305 for the match and only hit seven balls out of bounds.
Both middles played great for the Retrievers, as
Mila Ilieva had five kills on .714 hitting and
Abby Erickson had four kills on .400 hitting with five blocks. Neither committed an error.
Mia Bilusic had a team-high 14 digs and three blocks, while
Aysia Miller added 12 digs.
Serin Maden had 19 assists and four digs, and fellow setter
Izzy Ostvig had 13 assists, four blocks, three digs and two kills.
Claudia Llamas came off the bench for the third set and had six kills.
The Retrievers return home for Senior Day on Sunday at 1 p.m.
