Women's Basketball Downed at Maine

Orono, ME – Anna Blount had a team-high 13 points and seven rebounds, but host Maine defeated the UMBC Women's Basketball team 76-47 on Thursday night.

Laura Lacambra started four-for-four from the field and finished with 10 points and three rebounds.

Grace Ceseretti made her first career start and hit a pair of three pointers, while Jaliena Sanchez had five points and Trinity Palacio had four. Palacio also had a team-best four assists.

Jaden Walker also had two points, making her only shot attempt, while Anne Adewumi came off the bench to chip in four points, as she hit both her shots

Riley Donahue also chipped in on after by draining a three .

UMBC held a 14-13 lead after the first quarter, but Maine opened the second on a 10-0 run and never looked back.

The Retrievers travel to New Hampshire for a noon matchup on Saturday
