Orono, Me. -- After clinching the series with a pair of 9-8 victories already, the UMBC Baseball team dropped a 9-0 decision on Sunday at Maine (24-17, 14-4 AE).

Justin Taylor (Reston, Va.),
Ian Diaz (Philadelphia, Pa.),
Luke Trythall (Poolesville, Md.) and
Matt Ryan (Bethesda, Md.) all had hits for the Retrievers.
Diaz also added a walk for UMBC (24-21, 13-8 AE), while
Tony Krueger (Appleton, Wisc.) drew a pair of free passes and
Dawson Baracani (Sammamish, Wash.) walked once.
Joe Pucek (Morristown, N.J.) had a solid performance on the mound as he pitched into the sixth. The junior left hander struck out three and allowed just three runs in five-plus innings of work.
The Retrievers return home for the rest of the regular season, as they begin their season-high nine game home stand with a pair of mid-week contests.
Towson comes to Alumni Field for a 6 p.m. game on Tuesday, followed by another visit from Delaware State on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
