Men's Lacrosse Announces 2024 Spring Schedule

Retrievers to host a pair of Friday evening non-conference games.

2024 Schedule

BALTIMORE - UMBC Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Ryan Moran announced the program's 2024 spring schedule, which features 10 of 11 opponents from the 2023 season and the resumption of the series with the University of Richmond.

In addition, the Retrievers will host a pair of rare Friday evening home contests at UMBC Stadium.

The Retrievers open the season on Friday, Feb. 16 when they host the Drexel Dragons at 5:00 p.m. They will remain in-state for the next two Saturdays, visiting Mount St. Mary's on Feb. 24 and Towson on March 2.

UMBC wraps up the non-conference slate on Friday, March 8 when Richmond visits UMBC Stadium for the first time since 2018. The Spiders hosted the Retrievers in 2019 and 2022.

"Our program is excited for the opportunity to compete against a very competitive out of conference slate," said Moran. "We are very happy to keep Drexel, Towson and Mount St. Mary's on the schedule and are pleased to add Richmond back for 2024."

Moran's charges open America East competition by welcoming the 2023 league champion Bryant Bulldogs on Saturday, March 16. UMBC has home America East games versus UAlbany (Sat., March 30) and NJIT (Sat., April 20). All home league games will start at noon.

The Retrievers face four league foes on the road – associate member Merrimack (March 23), UMass Lowell (April 6), Binghamton (April 13) and Vermont (April 27).

"As always, conference play in the America East will be extremely competitive as it has been every year I have coached here." said Moran. "We have a tremendous amount of respect for our conference opponents and are eager to compete against them all come spring time."

The 2024 America East Championships are slated for Thursday and Saturday, May 2 and 4 at the site of the top-seeded regular season squad.

Season tickets for the 2024 campaign will be available for purchase at a later date.
