Towson, Md. – The UMBC men's swimming team competed for the second time in five days as they made up a previously postponed meet at Towson University on Wednesday evening. Multiple swimmers posted season and lifetime bests during the meet.
The divers competed at Towson on Tuesday afternoon.

On Tuesday, freshman diver
Anders Logas posted a season-high score of 290.85, while triumphing on the the 3-meter board.

Nicusan, who earned silver in that race and in the 100 yard breaststroke (55.84), was one of six Retrievers to finish second in the two-day meet. Logas placed second on the 1-meter board (252.00) and sophomore JJ Chapman placed second in the 200 IM (1:53.23).

Ryan Harding (50-yard backstroke, 23.31), sophomore
Christian Coleman (50-yard breaststroke, 26.06), senior
Niklas Weigelt (50-yard freestyle, 21.16) and senior
Jimmy Dwyer (200-yard freestyle, 1:44.46) all posted second place finishes on the day.
"It was a great day of facing today, to follow our divers did on the boards yesterday," said Head Coach
Matt Donovan. "It my time here, this might be our best dual meet yet. We recorded multiple season bests, a few lifetime bests and two team records (women's and men's 100 IM) went down. You can't ask for too much more.
"Our training is paying off and we are definitely on the right track to be ready for the championships next month."
UMBC will welcome George Mason to the UMBC Aquatic Complex on Saturday, Jan. 21. The meet gets underway at 1:00 p.m., but the Retrievers will honor their graduate students, fifth-year seniors and seniors competing in their final home meet at 12:40 p.m.
