BALTIMORE– UMBC women's lacrosse takes on New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon with a spot in the America East Tournament on the line on senior day. The team needs to win to clinch a spot in the upcoming tournament and can finish as the three or four seed depending on the other outcomes on Saturday.
The team will honor seniors Adriana D'Amore (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore), Rachel Ridgley (Owings Mills, Md./Franklin), Kelsey Weishaar (Sykesville, Md./Century), and Megan Cleverly (Middletown, Md./Middletown) pregame.

Scouting the Retrievers:
- The Retrievers enter the regular-season finale at 7-8, 1-4 AE on the year after dropping their fourth straight last Saturday at No. 6 Stony Brook, 20-8. The eight goals are the most the Seawolves have given up in conference play.
- Claire Bockstie (Forest Hill, Md./Maryvale Prep) leads the team and the America East with 56 goals and 15 assists for 71 points. Kolby Weedon (Catonsville, Md./Catonsville) and Dymin Gerow (Baltimore, Md./Episcopal) are just behind Bockstie with 41 goals each.
- Megan Halczuk (Fawn Grove, Pa.) has chipped in 21 goals, including a hat trick against Stony Brook, and leads the team with 99 draw controls.
Scouting the Wildcats:
- New Hampshire comes in at 7-7, 2-3 AE on the year and is currently occupying one of the final two tournament spots after defeating Binghamton 15-14 last Saturday.
- Mackenzie MacEachern leads the team with 31 goals and nine assists for 40 points with 43 draw controls.
- Delaney Pratt leads the team with 49 draw controls and has chipped in 28 goals. Emily Curtis and Kelsey MacCallum are also over the 20-goal mark with 23 and 20 respectively.
All-Time Series:
- This will be the 20th meeting all-time between the two schools with the Wildcats holding a 15-4 lead all-time. New Hampshire has won the last three meetings between the two by a total of four goals, including an overtime win last year.
- The last Retriever win was back in 2017 with the last home win coming during the 2016 season.
Milestone Watch:
- Megan Halczuk is 5 draw controls away from breaking her single-season mark of 104 she set last year. She is also just 48 away from becoming the all-time leader.
- Claire Bockstie is seven goals away from breaking the single-season record and is 12 points away from being the single-season record holder.
Playoff Picture:
- UMBC is currently tied for the final playoff spot with Binghamton and is one game back of New Hampshire. The Retrievers can clinch a playoff berth with a win on Saturday and can climb to the three seed with a Binghamton loss at Vermont.
- UMBC will be the four seed with a win and a Binghamton win on Saturday.
