BALTIMORE– UMBC men's basketball returns to action on Saturday in Vestal against Binghamton. The Retrievers are riding a two-game win streak after defeating NJIT 73-69 on Wednesday behind a career-high 31 points from
Keondre Kennedy (Atlanta, Ga.). The 31 points was the first 30-point game by a Retrievers since March 2020 when
R.J. Eytle-Rock had 31 in the America East Semifinals.

Scouting the Retrievers:
- The Retrievers are riding a two-game win streak after sweeping the season series with NJIT on Wednesday night, 73-69. Keondre Kennedy had a career day with 31 points, the first 30-point performance by a Retriever since March 2020. Kennedy also had seven rebounds and five assists in the contest.
- Kennedy leads the Retrievers averaging 14.3 ppg, seventh most in the America East. He is also second in rebounding on the team at 5.0 rpg, shooting 48 percent from the floor.
- Darnell Rogers (Baltimore, Md./Indian Land (SC)/New Mexico JC) is the only other Retriever in double figures at 10.2 ppg, dishing out 3.0 apg.
- Yaw Obeng-Mensah (Toronto, Ontario) leads the team with 5.3 rpg.
Scouting the Bearcats:
- The Bearcats come into the contest at 8-9, 5-3 AE on the year, currently third in the standings. Last time out, Binghamton dropped a 72-60 rematch against Hartford on Wednesday.
- Jacob Falko leads the Bearcats averaging 12.3 ppg and is the team leader with 55 assists, averaging 3.2 per game. John McGriff is the only other Bearcat in double figures at 10.5 ppg.
- Christian Hinckson is the leader on the glass, pulling down 6.2 rpg.
All-Time Series:
- This will be the 38th meeting all-time between the two with the Retrievers holding a slim 19-18 advantage. Last year, the two split the season series with both games being played in Baltimore.
- Binghamton has won three of the last four meetings after the Retrievers won the previous seven dating back to 2016.

- UMBC sits 16th nationally in team free throw percentage at 77.5, going 241-311 from the charity stripe this season.
