Fresh off of a 98-60 win against Columbia, the UMBC Men's Basketball team begins a three-game road trip at CAA preseason favorite Delaware on Sunday. Tip-off on FloSports is set for 2 p.m.
The two teams faced-off last season in Baltimore, with the Retrievers coming away with a 76-61 victory.

Scouting the Retrievers:
- UMBC scored 98 points for the second time in three games to improve their win streak to three and improve to 5-2 with a 98-60 win against Columbia (2-6) on Wednesday. Darnell Rogers (Baltimore, Md./Indian Land (SC)/New Mexico JC) led the way with 17 points, 14 of which came in the first half.
- UMBC got a big contribution from Nathan Johnson (Adel, Iowa) in the second half. Johnson had 13 points, all in the second half to help the Retrievers to a 98-60 win.
- Rogers led the Retrievers with 17 points, going 6-10 from the floor. Keondre Kennedy (Atlanta, Ga.) had another double digit performance adding 16 points.Â
- Johnson had a season-best 13 points going 6-7 from the foul line. It is his first double digit performance since his first collegiate game.
- UMBC had 22 points off 17 Columbia turnovers. The Retrievers committed just three turnovers themselves and shot 47 percent from the floor and 41 percent from three.
- The Retrievers are off to a fast start, and are among the best in the country in several categories.Â
- UMBC leads the country in free throw percentage at 85.4 percent as a team.
- Ray Salnave (Elmont, N.Y.) is one of six DI players who have not missed a free throw this year, having attempted at least 10, going 15-15 from the charity stripe.
- Rogers is not far behind him in 16th with a 95 percentage.
Scouting the Blue Hens:

- Â Delaware is looking for its third consecutive victory following wins over LIU and Delaware State.Â
- The Blue Hens held the Hornets to just 48 points during Thursday's win in the Route 1 Rivalry, the fewest points they have allowed this season.
- Delaware attempted just four free throws, the fewest since also taking just four against Northeastern on Feb. 28, 2019.Â
- Jameer Nelson, Jr. led the Blue Hens with 16 points, and has gone 7 of 13 from three-point range over the last three games.Â
- Ryan Allen added 14 points to pass Mark Murray and move into fifth place on UD's career scoring list.Â
- Allen has made 266 career three-pointers, and needs four more to pass Kyle Anderson as UD's all-time leader.
