Retrievers Host Navy Wednesday Night in Final Non-Conference Home Game

Baltimore-The UMBC women's basketball team (3-4) will look to even its record Wednesday night, hosting Navy (2-6) in the final non-conference home game of the season. Tip-off is 7 p.m.

UMBC is coming off a 78-72 victory over former Northeast Conference rival Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday. Senior forward Sharri Rohde (23 pts, 10 reb) and junior forward Amanda Robinson (22 pts, 12 reb) both recorded double-doubles. Rohde added eight assists, leaving her two dishes shy of a triple-double. The Retrievers posted their best shooting performance of the season (.470), led by Robinson's 11-for-15 shooting from the field. UMBC also dished out 26 assists, one shy of the school record. Rohde has scored in double figures in each of the last five games and six of seven on the season. She leads the team with 14.9 ppg and 8.3 rpg.

The Navy Midshipmen are coming off a 51-34 loss to Georgetown on Monday and are 2-6 on the season. Kate Hobbs led the all scorers with 17 points, accounting for half of Navy's offense. The Mids shot just 20.4 percent in the game and are shooting at a .352 clip on the season. Carly Meyer is averaging a team-best 16.7 ppg.
