Portland, ME--America East leading Maine outscored UMBC, 39-18, in the second half and defeated the Retrievers, 61-35, ending UMBC's two-game winning streak.
UMBC cut a 17-7 first half deficit to 22-17 at intermission on an Erin Voss bucket just before the half. But Maine used an early 13-0 run in the second half to break the game open as they hit 10 of 16 shots from behind the arc for the game.
UMBC committed 26 turnovers, and hit 41% of its shots. Maria Brown was the lone Retriever in double figures with 10 points.
