Emmitsburg, Md. - The Mount St. Mary's men's soccer team lost to UMBC by a final score of 1-0 in Northeast Conference men's soccer action Saturday afternoon.

Retrievers' striker Derek McElligott recorded an unassisted goal in the 82nd minute, dropping the Mount to 5-9-3 on the season.

With a scoreless game heading into the final 10 minutea of the game, McElligott intercepted a pass on the way back to Mount goalkeeper Brian Crum. McElligott from eight yards out volleyed the ball past a diving Crum into the net for the goal.
