WOMEN'S SOCCER WINS SIXTH STRAIGHT

Loretto, PA-Freshman Missy Moore scored one goal and assisted on another to lead UMBC (7-5, 6-2 NEC) to its sixth straight victory, a 2-1 triumph over host St. Francis (PA)(6-6, 3-5 NEC). Moore set up the game's first goal, passing off to junior Nicole Grinspoon, who fired a five-yard shot that beat Red Flash netminder Allison Tidball at 18:00. Then, just 2:27 later, Moore blasted an 18-yard shot home to give UMBC a 2-0 lead. St. Francis scored in the 29th minute, but neither team dented the scoreboard in the final 61 minutes.
