Mateo Brown is the UMBC Athlete of the Week after he kept his robust scoring pace going, netting five goals and adding an assist to lead a balanced Retriever attack in a 15-5 win over Merrimack...Brown scored five goals for the third time this season and now has 27 through eight games... Completed his hat track vs. the Warriors in the first half... He is just the fourth player in Head Coach Ryan Moran’s tenure (2017) to reach the 25-goal plateau and the other three (Ryan Frawley, Trevor Patschorke, Brett McIntyre) scored 33 goals or more in the championship season of 2019.
