Bruna de Padua is the UMBC Athlete of the Week after she earned America East Female Swimmer of the Week honors.

de Padua led the way for the Retrievers at VMI on Nov. 11 by earning gold and setting pool records in both distance freestyle events. She won the 500 with a mark of 5:06.95 and the 1000 with a time of a personal best time of 10:28.77.

The native of Brazil also earned the league honor on October 10.
