2014: Saw action in 25 matches, for a total of 75 sets as a senior... Recorded 14 service aces, including a season high three aces against Stony Brook on October 3... Santiago chipped in 137 digs for the Retrievers, posting 18 digs against Albany (October 17) and Binghamton (November 14).

2013: Saw action in 16 matches for a total of 35 sets for the Retrievers as junior… Worked as a serving specialist and accumulated nine aces during the season… Also recorded one kill and eight digs during the 2013 campaign… Served up two aces in UMBC’s sweep of St. Francis (Pa.) on Sept. 13 at the Maddie Bingaman Memorial Tournament.

2012: Played in 18 matches, totaling 53 sets, during her sophomore season with UMBC… One of seven Retrievers to notch double digits in service aces, finishing with ten on the year… Also set a career-best with 16 digs.

2011: Saw action in seven matches, playing in 11 sets during her first year as a Retriever... Recorded a career-high six digs in UMBC's 3-0 victory over America East rival Binghamton on Sept. 30... Picked up her first career kill in the Retrievers' 3-0 sweep of Norfolk State during the Maddie Binghamton Memorial Tournament.

Background: Earned gold at the 2010 AAU Junior Olympic Beach Volleyball 18-and-Under National Championships as well the 2010 Puerto Rico 18-and-Under Beach National Championships… Named Most Valuable Player of her high school, American Military Academy, as well as a Puerto Rico High School Athletic Alliance All-Star all four years in high school… Helped lead Borinquen Gardens Coqui to the silver medal at the 2010 Philadelphia Invitational Tournament.
